Take Us On: Beirne declares “Sheza Moral” in the Doncaster

Shaun Beirne is taking a firm stance on the Doncaster Mile and he is not trying to be clever about it. He is siding with the favourite Sheza Alibi and inviting punters to do the same, with a safety net built in.

The Bet Legends trader is comfortable planting his flag here. In a race that traditionally throws up traffic issues, hard luck stories and a stack of differing opinions, Beirne thinks the favourite is simply a ‘moral’.

He is not just tipping her either. He and the Bet Legends team are giving punters an opportunity to back the filly with a safety net in play if she happens to get toppled.

Doncaster Mile -Sheza Alibi

Beirne has made a habit of taking on favourites, but this time he’s all-in on the shorty. He believes the profile alone is strong enough to justify the confidence, particularly in a race where many of her rivals still have questions to answer.

“Sheza Alibi. Sheza Moral.”

He points to the weight she carries as a key edge in a race that is often dominated by horses with a similar setup. Combined with her upward trajectory, he sees a filly that is perfectly placed to peak.

“She gets in with no weight, she is highly progressive and she has already shown she can produce a peak figure third up. That is exactly what you want heading into a Doncaster.”

The expected tempo is another major tick in his assessment. Beirne is anticipating a genuinely run mile, which he believes will allow her to settle into a rhythm and build through the race.

“There looks to be good pressure which suits her. If they run along, she will get the chance to build into it and finish off strongly late.”

He is clear that there is one factor that could bring her undone, and it has nothing to do with her ability.

“The only knock is the map. If she gets buried or needs luck at the wrong time, that is where it can go wrong.”

If she gets clear air and conditions are fair across the track, Beirne is confident the result will take care of itself.

“If the track plays even and she has reasonable luck in running, she wins. That is how I see it.”

Beirne’s Play

Beirne is backing his opinion in with a Bet Legends offer that gives punters a level of protection in one of the most competitive handicaps on the calendar.

“Back Sheza Alibi with Bet Legends and if she does not win, we will give you your stake back in bonus cash up to 25 dollars.”

“You are getting a free look at the right horse in the race.”
