FOXTON TRIALS 18/08 (Heavy 9)
Heat 3 – MDN 3YO – Catchweight – 850m (53.23)
1st – 3y f AIM TO MISS trained by R Bergerson
2nd – 3y g HIGH ROCK trained by R Bergerson
3rd – 3y g DENNY RANE trained by K Myers
Summary: “Stablemates from the Bergerson stable deserve close attention when they step out next, the unraced Derryn filly AIM TO MISS was a sharp improver at the trials this prep and is bred out of a good racemare in Katie Perrie and may have inherited some of that ability. The Tivaci gelding HIGH ROCK made a good debut after a slow beginning at Woodville and spelled, again not the quickest out in this trial but finished strong, he will come into his own when he gets to 1600+ and still has a few quirks, side winkers added to help steer.”
Horses To Follow: 3y f AIM TO MISS & 3y g HIGH ROCK
Heat 5 – OPEN- Catchweight – 1000m (1.03.27)
1st – 8y g DIOMEDES trained by K Pertab
2nd – 4y g BOKUSHI trained by R Patterson
3rd – 4y g OUR SNIPER trained by L Latta
Summary: “The action was out wide in the finish, however, back to the inside was RIVERPLATE in 5th spot travelling sweetly under a Toni Davies ride, he set the early pace and wasn’t asked to quicken in the straight. A good fresh performer, the 8YO deserves serious respect first-up after now two trials and has lofty targets ahead of him.”
Horse To Follow: 8y g RIVERPLATE
Heat 14 – OPEN – Catchweight – 1200m (1.16.86)
1st – 6y g PLATINUM ATTACK trained by L Latta
2nd – 6y g SUNSET BOULEVARD trained by K Myers
3rd – 7y m PERFECT TEST trained by L Latta
Summary: “Lisa Latta’s stable star PLATNUM ATTACK was given a searching 2nd trial. Asked to quicken at the turn, Bruno Queiroz punched the gelding out to the line and is sure to ready to fire fresh, first-up winner last prep, firm ground is when he performs best. SUNSET BOULEVARD was the eye-catcher back in the field, very good trial for a stayer on the verge of resuming, he too won first-up at 1600m 12 months ago and could very well repeat the pattern!”

1st – 5y g ERIN GO BRAGH trained by S Marsh
2nd – 6y g HIGH COUNTRY trained by T Pike
3rd – 4y g AKSIL trained by S & K Alexander
Summary: “Two-time winner AKSIL is a progressive 4YO gelding who raced against the better 3YO crop towards the back end of last campaign and put his name up in lights with a very nice return at the trials. Settling rearwards, McNab kept the gelding on the bridle chasing home ERIN GO BRAGH
Horse To Follow: 4y g AKSIL
Heat 7 – MDN 3YO – Catchweight – 950m (56.31)
1st – 3y c ITCHY HEART trained by G Old
2nd – 3y f SHIRASE trained by T Pike

Summary: “Slow trial. SHIRASE is a Satono Aladdin filly who was dragged out of the trial early and cruised through to finish 2nd under no pressure, she is accepted to race at Te Rapa on Saturday and given a quiet time, shown good ability at the trials and is among the key chances this weekend.”
Horses To Follow: 3y f SHIRASE
