Heat 1 – 2YO – Catchweight – 600m (35.65)

1st – 2y f VIRTUAL REALITY trained by Walker & Bergerson

2nd – 2y f LAMUNA trained by D Miller

3rd – 2y f CALA FORNELLS trained by B & R Foote

Summary: “Ok – before we get too excited – lets preface this by highlighting it is only a 600m trial. However, the Lucky Vega filly was super impressive stepping out for the first time, a beautiful mover with plenty of length and stretch over the closing stages with Craig Grylls in the saddle. Te Akau paid $270,000 for this filly at the Gold Coast MM Sale and she looks very smart! If you have a share in this filly, time to get excited.”

Horses To Follow: 2y f VIRTUAL REALITY

Heat 5 – OPEN – Catchweight – 1150m (1.13.09)

1st – 6y m RELIABLE SQUEEZE trained by P Lock

2nd – 5y m WAR QUEEN trained by K Pertab

3rd – 7y g GIGI trained by J Pender

Summary: “Soft tempo in this trial, keen to follow a lightly raced 4YO called DAY ONE for Walker & Bergerson, only three starts including a 4th in the Gingernuts Salver before the break. Stayed on the bridle in this trial and his action was superb as he finished out of the placings, sure to see more from this galloper next time and he looks very progressive.”

Horse To Follow: 4y g DAY ONE

Heat 7 – OPEN – Catchweight – 1150m (1.11.43)

1st – 6y g BIG WAVE trained by C McKee

2nd – 4y m TELLUM trained by D Sweeney

3rd – 4y m TYPHOON LUCY trained by Walker & Bergerson

Summary: “Similar profile to the Walker & Bergerson runner in the previous trial, TYPHOON LUCY is a progressive staying mare by Dundeel, cleared maidens at Matamata with a strong finish before the break and her 2nd trial of the preparation here was outstanding! Another lightly raced spring prospect and in the right stable to keep progressing.”

Horses To Follow: 4y m TYPHOON LUCY

Heat 9 – OPEN – Catchweight – 1150m (1.14.49)

1st – 5y m MOXIE trained by K Harrison

2nd – 5y g ALTARI trained by Walker & Bergerson

3rd – 5y m PLOY trained by T Cole

Summary: “The lightly raced 5YO mare PLOY has more to come this season, she put two wins together including a strong form race before having genuine vet excuses her next two and spelled. This was a slow trial so worth noting, however, the Proisir mare travelled sweetly on the bridle with Sam Collett aboard and has more upside than most going into her 3rd race preparation.”

Horse To Follow: 5y m PLOY

Heat 22 – MDN 3YO – Catchweight – 850m (54.45)

1st – 3y f IMPERIAL ROSE trained by S Marsh

2nd – 3y c RIP TIDE trained by O’Sullivan & Scott

3rd – 3y c SAVALAMBO trained by Rogerson & Isdale

Summary: “Winner IMPERIAL ROSE has had strong market support in each of her career starts and not been able to break through. Returning from a spell she looked in good order winning this trial with plenty in hand on the line. Behind her was a promising unraced colt called RIP TIDE for Wexford stables, he’s impressed in two recent trials and set for a big debut with the leading stable.”
