All Star – Fabio Martino (Chad Schofield)
Hawkesbury H1 1250m – October 20
Going super this prep, got found out last time out over the 1800m with a tearaway leader. Freshened and a nice trial, ready to get back to 1600m and return to the winner’s stall.
Stand My Ground – Marc Chevalier (Tyler Schiller)
Hawkesbury H1 1250m – October 20
Same heat as All Star, gave away key race fitness and looked even better than that horse. Progressing well into this prep, won first up last prep over the 1600m, can do the same here.
Perfect Picture – John Thompson (Kerrin McEvoy)
Hawkesbury H4 1000m – October 20
Interesting horse, moved to the John Thompson camp last prep with a mixed preparation. She has now had a full prep under Thompson and has looked exceptional at the trials this time in. Back-to-back impressive trials and looks ready to go first up.
Prince Of Thunder – O’Shea & Charlton (Zac Lloyd)
Hawkesbury H6 1000m – October 20
Eye-catching debut trial by this 3yo gelding. Electric change of speed when asked for an effort by Lloyd, exploding through the pack late to savage the line. Liked how easily he punched a tight gap too. Look for a second trial now.
Tuscan Charm – Danielle Seib (Tyler Schiller)
Hawkesbury H7 1000m – October 20
Interesting horse, caught my eye last preparation and cemented this with the first trial back this prep. Liked what she did late in this trial, would like another trial and then to the races.
Charlina – Jason Attard (Olivia Chambers)
Hawkesbury H10 800m – October 20
She has run the hands off the clock in this trial. She does tend to trial well, but she can come back in a big way this prep and win first up over the 1000m.
Whoa Nellie – Brad Widdup (Zac Lloyd)
Hawkesbury H11 800m – October 20
Like this horse, showed good ability in her first prep. She looks back in a big way off the back of this impressive first trial for the prep. Smart overall field and she looked a class above. One more trial and will be ready to win fresh.
Toytown – Brad Widdup (Zac Lloyd)
Hawkesbury H12 800m – October 20
Smart 2yo debut trial by this colt. He ran slick overall and fast L600m time. That should have been even faster as he was held up at the 200m, had to slide off heels and then balanced up and savaged the line. Look for a second trial.
Sharjawiyah – O’Shea & Charlton (Zac Lloyd)
Hawkesbury H12 800m – October 20
Very smart debut trial, slower overall time than Toytown but last 600m was slick and loved her physical build and action. She was very impressive through the line too. Second trial now.
Ole Steele – Scott Singleton (Mikayla Weir)
Muswellbrook H12 800m – October 21
Back-to-back smart trials this time in. The latest was in very fast overall time, hard held and still plenty to give. Ready to go to the races and can win fresh.
