James McDonald will ride in Adelaide for only the second time, with his manager Mark Guest confirming bookings in both the G1 Australasian Oaks and the G1 Robert Sangster Stakes later this month.
The champion jockey had been in the frame to make a rare appearance in South Australia, although he needed to navigate a tight schedule that required him in Hong Kong to continue his association with Romantic Warrior the following day.
McDonald will ride the Chris Waller-trained stablemates Panova and Generosity as he bids for a maiden Group 1 win in Adelaide.
McDonald was aboard Panova earlier in the autumn when the filly ran unplaced in the G1 Surround Stakes over 1400m, while he has ridden Generosity in both starts this preparation, including her G2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) win last month.
It is understood McDonald will limit his book at Morphettville, although Guest said he may take another ride or two in the other feature races on the card.
