Belle Cheval survived a protest to pick up the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes. Hear from the beaten jockeys
James McDonald (Ohope Wins): “She built nicely to the line.”
Ben Allen (Salty Pearl): “Super run. Ultra consistent. Maybe if we drew one barrier better, it might have been a different result.”
Tommy Berry (Panova): “A little bit plain for her.”
Billy Egan (After Summer): “Super run heading towards an Oaks.”
Nash Rawiller (Long Legs): “She had a look at the gap 50m after the start and I had to give her a slap down the neck to concentrate and get back on the track. She over-raced a bit mid-race.”
Adam Hyeronimus (Aisle Two): “I think she is definitely a Stakes filly. These two runs will toughen her up for next prep.”
Craig Newitt (Celestial Award): “She ran OK. She was a bit outclassed.”
Tyler Schiller (Stand My Ground): “Great run second up. 2000m is not easy and I thought she did a great job. Going further is only going to suit and if she can do a performance like that, I think she will be hard to beat in the Oaks.”
