Race 2 – 6:45PM The Valley @ Southside Pakenham Plate (1200 METRES)
Like how #8 CASTELLI IN ARIA has trialled up for her return. She was good in three runs last campaign: got too far back at Bairnsdale on debut, ran into a subsequent winner/best of the on-pacers at her second start and then struck a handy maiden at Ballarat.
Three jump-outs this time in should have her cherry ripe for this first up assignment, the last two of which were excellent. Should roll forward and be in this a long way.
#6 SILVADANE can run a race at 70/1. His trials have always been good, which has again been the case this campaign. Forgive his only run at Seymour where he played up in the barriers and got a mile out of his ground. Tongue tie on, drawn well, can run a race at huge odds.
#1 BLUE LIGHT DISCO comes through a strong maiden and has jumped-out nicely in the seven-weeks between runs. #3 DELIBERATE PLOY has shown ability in jump-outs ahead of his debut.
Suggested bet:
Backing #8 CASTELLI IN ARIA, something small on #6 SILVADANE
Race 7 – 9:15PM Ladbrokes Popular SRM Handicap (1400 METRES)
#5 YAHOO BAR started his carer with Liam Howley before being sold to Hong Kong. He was ultra impressive breaking his maiden at Sandown at start two before heading north. He was able to win one race in Hong Kong but clearly didn’t reach the heights connections may have expected.
Now back in Australia with Liam Howley, this bloke has trialled up brilliantly at Echuca. He looked super in his work, posting fast time. This is a decent race, but off his work and potential he should give it an almighty shake. $10 + appeals greatly.
Suggested bet:
Backing #5 YAHOO BAR E/W
