Race 2: (MDN 2YO 1200m)

The Savabeel gelding (1) HONOUR ROLL was disappointing on debut, he was immediately spelled and returned with an impressive trial win at Avondale on a H10 surface. Willing to overlook the poor debut when he knocked up in the straight at Tauherenikau and could improve sharply into this Pearl Series Maiden race to start his 2nd race preparation. Soft draw on his home track, expect a positive ride from Michael McNab.
Suggested Bet: HONOUR ROLL
Race 3: (MDN 3YO 1200m)

The exposed form poses a risk as each has had their opportunities to win already. Impressed with the trial work of (7) GIN AND BARE IT on debut off one trial at Avondale on a H10 surface. Showed excellent gate speed to travel and quicken under a light ride and win in fast time comparative to the other heats on the morning.
Suggested Bet: GIN AND BARE IT
Race 4: (MDN 2YO&UP F&M 1600m)
Tempo: Average
D-day for the promising Ghaiyyath filly MORE BLISS with Wexford stables. One-paced to the line fresh at Matamata, she put in her best performance to date when ridden cold at Te Rapa, home in good closing splits behind a stakes grade filly now in QLD. Meeting a weak maiden field, she is a justified short-priced favourite on her performances to date.
Suggested Bet: MORE BLISS
Race 7: (R65 1100m)
Tempo: Above Average
The Ardossan mare (8) AFTERGLO is very well-placed resuming down in grade with a strong rider engagement of Warren Kennedy in the saddle. A two-time course winner, she’s been plagued by bad barriers throughout her career and expect her strongest late at the end of 1100m. (10) SABATINI was a gritty winner on debut at Ellerslie, that win rated just fair, needs to improve again but is open to further improvement.
Suggested Bet: AFTERGLO
