Reigning Hong Kong Horse of the Year Ka Ying Rising is officially Everest bound.
The superstar sprinter departed from Sha Tin Racecourse for Sydney on Sunday where he will enter quarantine.

He is currently the $1.75 favourite for the 1200m Group 1 despite his opposition having a good weekend.
The Australian Turf Club posted a video after Ka Ying Rising’s arrival in Sydney.

Joliestar was super impressive taking out The Shorts at Randwick on Saturday.
“I thought Zac had one hand on the (Everest) trophy but I might have to take that one hand off and let him simmer for a bit,” her jockey James McDonald said after the victory. “Because there’s two golden girls (Joliestar and Lady Shenandoah) chasing him.”
McDonald will have to choose between Lady and Shenandoah for the $20 million race.
Team Hawkes were happy enough with Briasa’s gallant second, insisting the sprinter will only improve heading to 1200m at Randwick.
