Soft track for Cranbourne trials on Monday. Track was fairly even, wider lanes probably appeared slightly better.
You can watch the replays of these jump-outs HERE.
Heat 3 – Albertville (2nd)/Diamond Indaruf (3rd)
Handy galloper this son of Ilovethiscity. Jamie Melham does the riding for her father, who owns the horse. He travelled to the line sweetly in running second, just nabbed late by Electromagnetic. First jump-out of the campaign, so may need another, but he can do some damage over the summer months.
Diamond Infdaruf generally trials quite well, and she did again here. She’s no star, but with a 59 rating can get a win on the board early this preparation.
Heat 5 – Smash Blue (1st)
Luke Oliver trains this 4yo daughter of Brave Smash who has had one racing campaign, where she ran two solid placings. She moved to the line strongly under a big hold to take out this heat, her first outing of the campaign. She may need another jump-out, but wherever she goes first-up she will be hard to beat in a Maiden.
Heat 6 – Hey Kleine Maus (2nd)
Good time. Think this is a nice filly, Hey Kleine Maus. She started her career with Jack Laing but transferred to Gavin Bedggood ahead of her last campaign. She won a jump-out impressively back on July 21, but didn’t make it to the races. This was her first outing this campaign and it was a most impressive performance. She may have another jump-out before debuting, but doubt she will be a maiden for long when she does hit the racetrack.
Heat 10 – Bons To Riches (4th)
Nice, quiet trial from this son of Bon Aurum. He was allowed to cruise to the line under a huge hold from Ben Allen, moving well in the process. His jump-out a week prior was good, winning that heat up on speed. He has had two fresh runs for a win and a luckless third at Cranbourne last campaign. Looks in for a good preparation.
