Expecting a slight on speed advantage today for the 1000-1200m races. The 1400m start is very kind with barriers having no real impact.
Race 1
Keen to get into this race, the current favourite Misty Veil has come up rather short and I’m happy to bet around her. Buckeye has trialled up impressively on two occasions and draws to get the run of the race. The other horse I’m keen to back is Melanite, back to back impressive trials again. A touch sticky from that gate but is one of the best maiden gallopers in the country. The third horse I’ll throw in the mix is Zoufame. Gelded into this prep and looks a different horse.

Smart contest to round out the day. Keen to side with the O’Shea and Charlton-trained Roselyn’s Star, impressive prep off the back of a 71 week spell. I expect this prep to be even better going off the back of back-to-back trial wins. Lands on speed with the only query being the 1200m.
