Turf Talk:
- Bairnsdale is a tight track where its rarely a disadvantage to be too far away from the speed.
- Good run from the 1200m start into the bend. Track has come up a Heavy 8 but they haven’t had rain for a couple of days and with a reasonable wind forecast wouldn’t be surprised if we get an upgrade.
- Looking for horses on speed.
- Hard to find many roughies that I think have a genuine chance so playing reasonably straight today.
Key stats:
- Matt Laurie has a decent record when he brings horses to Bairnsdale striking at 21.4%. He has a key debutant in race three that has been heavily backed.
- Brodie Loy has been riding well, going at 20% his last 100 mounts. He comes to ride Risky Whisky in race 7.
