Turf Talk:
- Rail +9m; with the dry track it should favour those on speed with lanes 1–4 key in transit.
- Horses settling further back than midfield need a solid tempo up front to be running on.
Race 5
Keen to side with the Richard Litt-trained Tyrone’s Power, the talented 2yo now returns to the races a gelded 3yo. One sharp trial and looks well placed over the 1000m fresh here. The form around Regulated Affair and Grand Eagle should prove too good.
The danger is Margin Call, who has also been gelded into this preparation. Two solid recent trials, not sure 1000m is his go but I’m happy to back the quinella as well. Outside of that, the market watch is on Souk, who resumes off no official trials.
Selections:
(2) Tyrone’s Power
(5) Margin Call
(1) Souk
(11) Shaft Attack
Suggested Bet – Tyrone’s Power WIN / 2–5 QUINELLA
Race 6
Teylu brings a dominant profile to this event. The consistent gelding has an outstanding track and trip record and looks ready to win now second up, dropping slightly in class. From the draw he’ll land on speed and prove hard to beat.
Russian Zarina looks the main danger; expect Guymer to use the inside draw to land a touch closer today. Destructive Diva gets weight relief and has been well backed in early markets, while Ditterich brings a similar profile.
Selections:
(5) Teylu
(10) Russian Zarina
(6) Destructive Diva
(3) Ditterich
Suggested Bet – Teylu WIN
