Turf Talk:
- Rail True Entire – with the dry track it should favour those on speed with lanes 1-5 key in transit. Horses settling further back than midfield need a solid tempo up front to be running on.
Race 4
Good maiden. Happy to side with the Nestor combination in Race To Arms, the 4yo gelding makes his debut here off the back of a smart recent 800m trial. He wasn’t let off the bridle before working well through the line. He maps to get the run of the race from barrier 6 and also brings a smart Highway trial form line through Poison Point. The watch is on Territory Style, who won a smart front-running trial and maps to lead here on debut. Jagerschnitzel will need luck to offset the wide draw, but he has the fitness and race experience edge. Chappolicious rounds out the numbers.
Selections:
(2) Race To Arms
(3) Territory Style
(1) Jagerschnitzel
(9) Chappolicious
Suggested Bet – Race To Arms WIN
Race 5
Keen to stick with the impressive Andale Andale, who was a dominant debut winner in what was a very strong race overall. He draws well again here and can use his tactical speed to be much handier with the soft tempo on paper. He looks well above country C1 grade. Arambys is the danger, consistent in recent runs without winning, though the map is slightly sticky. The market/parade watch is Laizabout, who resumes here without an official trial, wary. Western Warrior rounds out the numbers.
Selections:
(7) Andale Andale
(11) Arambys
(1) Laizabout
(6) Western Warrior
Suggested Bet – Andale Andale WIN
