Race by race overview
Race 3:
Plume comes out of a trial report two weeks ago off the back of two quiet, but eye-catching trials. The 4yo Blue Point mare looks ready to explode off the bridle and gets every chance on debut here from a smart draw. Manukau is the horse to beat on race fitness, but $1.70 is bottom odds. Zing To Me has always teased talent at the trials and races but is yet to put it all together. Declan is the market watch with solid recent trials, and Pride is in career-best form.
Selections:
(4) Plume
(1) Manukau
(6) Zing To Me
(2) Declan
Suggested Bet: (4) Plume (Win)
Race 4:
Happy to take on the current favourite in Bondasong – inflated debut win due to the conditions and that field was average at best. Aisle Two was a dominant last-start winner, let up 12 weeks and brought back with quiet trials. The booking of Tommy and the home deck are what I like. Firework did a good job fresh to win, strips fitter and can improve. Bianca Mia is next best.
Selections:
(5) Aisle Two
(1) Bondasong
(3) Firework
(8) Bianca Mia
Suggested Bet: (5) Aisle Two (Win)
