Overview:
Race 1 – Lots To Love
Annabel and Rob Archibald have hit a hot streak in Melbourne and that can continue with Lots To Love. This gelding was super from the tail first up at Sale over 1400m. The step to 1700m now looks ideal and Jett Stanley can have him further forward from the good gate up in trip. Marked him favourite and think he firms from the $5 on offer.
Race 2 – A Diva
Early market support for this debutant looks on the money. The blinkers went on in her latest Cranbourne jump-out and she went like a rocket. Expect Etan Brown to take her straight to the front and from there they will struggle to run her down. Setheus has had his chances in moderate maidens – happy to bet against him.
Race 7 – Savilla
Prefer this bloke at 1600m than 1400m but he gets a chance to control the race first up. Jump-outs leading in have been excellent his ratings last preparation are better than anything in this field. Like the ‘synthetic hoof filler’ coming off for the first time, too.
