- Track has come up a Soft 6 but there’s a few more showers moving through, so may worsen.

Race 1
Like (9) Smugglers Spot here. He ran off the track on debut at Wagga, but trials either side of that were very good. He behaved better in the run at Echuca last time out and with even luck would’ve finished closer. His work to, and through, the line was excellent at 1000m. The step to 1300m today should be ideal.
The danger and horse to beat looks (6) Please Me Do. You know what you’ll get with her – she will roll forward and make her own luck on speed – but she’s limited.
Suggested bet: Backing Smugglers Spot, could have a 6,9 quinella as well.
Race 5
Keen on a two-bet play here.
(4) Soo Kiss Me maps nicely here. She was taken wide when making her run at Balranald last time out but kept coming on the line to only go down narrowly. She was good at Wodonga two back in a race dominated by Kilmister. Ready now fourth up and draws perfectly. More upside than some of these.
(7) Loco For Coco has only had three runs for the new stable. Was OK at Gunbower first up and then just got too far back on a firm 2 in a race dominated on speed at Bombola two back. Loved her run at Wagga last Friday where she hit the line strongly despite the jockey not really being able to get at her. She will get back again today but expect her to close hard.

Race 7
(2) Char is having his first start for Rebekah Dudley, who has only had a handful of runners as a trainer. Liked how he trialled at Seymour leading into this, he jumped the gates well and went to the line hard held, albeit a long way off British Columbia, who was given a solid test. This blokes best ratings have him hard to beat here and I suspect he can settle in the first four in the run. Double-figure odds appeal.
The horse to beat is absolutely (7) Yongtai. Only had a couple of starts for Vin Hall but was very good from the tail at Wodonga last time out. Knock is she gets back in her races, but she will charge at them late.
Suggested bet: Something small on Char. Quinella 2 and 7.
