Race 6
Good speed. Adki will run them along but is a query at the 1590m. Keith will also boot forward.
Not sure why Amber Star isn’t favourite. Suspect he jumps favourite. He has done all his recent racing against better opposition than he meets here and he had no luck at Wangaratta last time out. Maps for a soft run and looks well placed to get back into the winners circle.
Think the main danger is Novel Approach. She was dragged back from a wide draw at Albury but ripped home in great late splits after spotting them a huge start. Quickly up in trip a positive for her and the strong speed should give her a chance to run over the top late.
Steve’s Way seems under the odds as a $3.50 favourite. Thought she had her chance at Wagga last time and she was well beaten by Amber Star at Albury three back. Does get a weight swing on that clash but not sure it will be enough.
