Tricky little race to kick off proceedings. Flaxlands has been running well from off speed but is yet to be put into a race. In the small field here they should be a touch more positive which is key. John Dory was solid on debut and can only improve that effort, and an in-form Berry takes the ride which is key. Matias found the line well first up behind a smart winner. This looks easier on paper but the gate hurts. Saloon Passage is next best.Selections:

He looks the likely leader on paper and the main danger. Lontrice makes his debut off back-to-back trial wins and looks to have an engine but may need the race experience here. Race of the night and a complete race in two. From a map point of view Pyrolysis goes on top. Back-to-back eye-catching trials in very fast time and should find the front here from barrier 6. Sword Of Legacy finds himself in the Waller yard now and looks to have turned a corner, another who has trialled up impressively in fast time. What do we do with Champere? Two quiet trials but his work through the line has been great and he’s in the mix. Miss Supernova rounds out the numbers, definite winning hope, another strong trial horse who may want 1200m+ though.Selections:

Flightcrew has the option to punch up and hold out Mafia. Smart second-up run but that was on a wet deck and back to dry is the slight worry. Heuristic is building sharply toward a win. Smart second-up run at Randwick and improves again here dropping slightly in class. Off The Press brings inferior form but looks well placed ratings-wise.Selections:
