Turf Talk:

  • +8m – Expecting a on speed advantage with a firm deck and with the rail out so far.
  • A proper tempo is needed to be running on from off speed.

The Stats That Matter:

  • Over the past 90 days Adam Hyeronimus is striking at a impressive 37.1% with a positive POT of +104.4%.
  • Bjorn Baker is the stable to follow over the past 90 days up to $10SP, the team is striking at 26.8% with a impressive POT of +25.1%. They are effective with runners first, second and third up.

Race 1

Wide open maiden to kick off proceedings here. Leaning the way of (10) Long Legs, who returns off two solid recent trials. The wide gate is the query, but the booking of Roper helps. (8) Solid has been well backed in early markets – he’s looked smart in his two event trials and maps ideally. (6) Matias resumes gelded and has been kept very quiet at the trials; we’ll lean on the market late. (11) Peace Bird brings race fitness and maps well third-up, though needs to improve rising in class.

Selections:
(10) Long Legs
(8) Solid
(6) Matias
(11) Peace Bird

Suggested Bet – No Bet

Race 2

Looks a race in two. (4) Thebudgiesmugla was strong late last start, rattling home off an even tempo – he peaks now and can turn the tables. (2) Format will land on speed again from the draw, which suits at Rosehill, though the rise to 2400m is the slight query. (5) War Ribbon peaks here as well, and the small field plus another go at the trip are positives.

Selections:
(4) Thebudgiesmugla
(2) Format
(5) War Ribbon

Suggested Bet – No Bet

Race 3

An intriguing race. (7) Seven’s may not have run out a strong 1800m last time, so the slight freshen and drop to 1500m suits, especially with McDonald going aboard. (8) Silvanito gets an in form Collett from a smart draw, now at peak fitness and up to 1500m. (9) Super Mirage has come up short in the market – forgive the first-up run but needs to improve. (3) Sosino rounds out the numbers.

Selections:
(7) Seven’s
(8) Silvanito
(9) Super Mirage
(3) Sosino

Suggested Bet – No Bet

Race 4

The Chris Waller-trained (2) Unlimited looks the one to beat, bringing back-to-back strong runs and dropping sharply in class. From the draw in a small field, expect James to be positive early. (6) Kind Words will improve second-up, the dry deck and rise in trip suit. (4) Brosnan is in form for the Ryan & Alexiou camp, maps to get the right run and should get every chance. (7) Brigidine Gal goes in the mix as a place chance.

Selections:
(2) Unlimited
(6) Kind Words
(4) Brosnan
(7) Brigidine Gal

Suggested Bet – Unlimited WIN

Race 5

Cracking race. (6) Strada Varenna resumes off a 207-day break and has looked sharp in two trials – well placed first-up. (8) Ninette brings two strong figures from her debut campaign and trialled nicely at 900m; expect her to land on speed. (9) Taxation was an impressive debut winner at Hawkesbury – the race rated fairly, but it’s a strong push from the stable to send him straight to town. (4) Titanium Miss draws well and trialled impressively – she looks in for a good prep.

Selections:
(6) Strada Varenna
(8) Ninette
(9) Taxation
(4) Titanium Miss

Suggested Bet – No Bet

Race 6

A tricky end to the program. (9) Mamushka went to a new level last start in a strong race and looks well placed with McDonald aboard. (7) Fleeting Spirit was well supported last time but failed to fire – expect improvement with Clark on from a wide draw. (2) Just Glamourous drops back in class after tackling a tougher race last start – she’ll land on speed with Hyeronimus aboard. (3) Hyperbolic can run well and rounds out the numbers.

Selections:
(9) Mamushka
(7) Fleeting Spirit
(2) Just Glamourous
(3) Hyperbolic

Suggested Bet – Mamushka WIN
