Competitive race to kick off proceedings here with plenty of speed expected up front, likely to come from those wider gates.
(6) Nordic Viking and (2) Eynesbury look the two beneficiaries of this hot tempo as both draw to get lovely sits in behind. Nordic Viking has been gelded into this prep and just needs a smart ride to offset gate 2.
(9) Farfetched has had four weeks between runs, the speed has completely come out of this race, he should cross and get it very soft now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts favourite.

Race 2:
Lacklustre BM64 over the 1900m with an average tempo expected up front.
Keen to side with the Chris Waller trained (5) Shanoni, the 4yo mare doesn’t win out of turn but Waller looks to have found the trick to her stepping up in trip. Now 1900m from a good draw reads well.
(2) Tassron maps ideally in barrier 2 with the red-hot Nash taking the ride and the rise to 1900m also suits.
(1) Lugarno comes off a strange last start run over 2100m when hitting a flat spot mid race before picking up well late.

Speed on speed expected up front here in what looks a near impossible race to dissect.
(10) Ready To Shine goes on top, he trialled up superbly before an eye-catching fresh run and should eat up this tempo and be strong late.
(1) Kimberley Secrets maps ideally from barrier 4 with plenty of fitness on her side and may take a slight sit to be strongest late.
(6) Rumours Aboard rounds out the numbers but looks very short.

A lack of speed expected up front here over the 1550m.
(3) Le Troisir wasn’t given much hope first-up when snagged to the rear, a rise in trip and jockey change should see him right in this race.
(1) Concordia Wind was flat second-up off that long layoff, she gets in light with the claim but doesn’t get her “hot” tempo she’ll likely need.
(9) Throttle Response is the map horse here and rounds out the numbers.

Another race full of speed and tricky overall with no real standout.
(7) Vanessi goes on top from a smart draw and with the use of the 3kg claim, look for Grima to be aggressive early.
(3) Thames was too bad to be true first-up and her trials prior suggested she’s much better than that.
(9) Manukau finally broke through last start and may have had the penny drop.
(10) Miss Capitale draws poorly and has come up very short but remains in the mix and may drift in the market.
Expect (5) Burj to use the inside gate and put in a more positive run after a disinterested first-up effort.

Tricky race with not a whole lot of speed expected up front.
(6) Ivan’s Hero goes firmly on top, he gets in light with the 3kg claim of Grima and hits this race in career best form, likely to cross and land on speed.
(1) No Drama couldn’t handle the hot pace last time out, back to easier grade and draws perfectly.
(4) Art Volant lacks tactical speed and is a question mark at 1550m but the small field and drop in class are positives.
(7) Tenderize rounds out the meeting.

Surprised to see (4) Albany Road come up rather big in price here. Barrier 9 isn’t ideal but there is good speed on up front over the 1250m which should suit. +
(6) Ferinzo has been well backed early coming off back-to-back sharp wins and is the map horse, likely to land on speed and give a huge sight.
The big market watch is on the fresh (8) Ornithology first-up off some quiet, but solid trials.
