Racelab’s Matt Collum has taken a forensic look at the Group 1 races at Royal Ascot using their ratings system to assist working out who’s best credentialed to take out this year’s big races.
Matt kicked off the week in fine style, nailing two of three races on Day 1, including Mission Central at 14/1!

Only moderate speed on paper here with Mississippi River and Devil’s Advocate controlling the tempo. Daryz has been in super form this with back-to-back wins at Longchamp. He did benefit from softer going in the Prix Aga Khan IV at Longchamp and has to bring that form to a firmer deck. Ombudsman brings the best rating figures here and is ideally suited at ten furlongs. He carried 61kg when winning the Brigadier Gerard Stakes last start and at set weights he’s the one to beat.
