(10) Spirited Dee has been scratched a few times from wide draws but makes her debut here. Her recent jump-out on the Ballarat Synthetic was outstanding. She has the speed to lead this field and I think she will take a stack of catching.

(3) Pinamilloy covered some ground at Cranbourne last time out when beaten by a handy one. Think 1200m suits betting. In the game.

Give (4) Soulsease River a hope at huge odds. Don’t see many Hayes debutantes go around 40/1! He has been strong to, and through, the line in each of his jump-outs and appears to have a nice change-up speed. No moral by any stretch, but certainly think he’s a big price and 1200m (as opposed to 1100 or 1000m suits on debut).

Concede that (2) Judas Tree has trialled well and the McEvoy stable are very hard to beat. But, preferred his jump-outs two back and wasn’t so enamored with his work at Werribee most recently. He can absolutely win, but at $2.10 happy to suggest he’s under the odds.

Suggested bet: Backing Spirited Dee/Soulsease

(12) Unstirred comes through a fast jump-out where he beat the talented Hard Kick. That said, he was given a good push out late and asked to put them away. He hadn’t shown a huge amount in his two jump-outs prior. As I said in r1, the McEvoys are very hard to beat on this track and he’s drawn for a lovely run on debut, but sheesh, the $1.50 seems short.

(7) Blazing Brook might just be no good but reckon she’s worth a crack here on synthetic for the first time. She trialled like a weapon on the surface between runs and if she can bring that to raceday she will prove hard to beat. Showed a bit of talent early doors but form has tapered off.

Suggested bet: Something 1×3 Blazing Brook

Not a strong race. (5) Prince Of Sparta moved well in two jump-outs on the Cranbourne synthetic prior to debuting on a heavy deck at Sale. He raced in restricted room there and was really only getting warm on the line. 1400m is ideal and expect him to settle right on speed from gate one. Like how Zac Moore is riding so think the 3kg claim can have value.

(1) Boulderoo has run a couple of reasonable races this time in. If he can bring his best he will be in the finish of a race like this Rookery Nook knocked up badly fresh but can improve here.

Suggested bet: Like Prince Of Sparta.
