Definition of progressive, this mare. She has a lovely fresh record and has form lines around the likes of Arkansaw Kid and Cafe Millenium. Back to back smart on speed trials, can win fresh this time in.

Mumbai Maharani – Waterhouse & Bott (Regan Bayliss)
Randwick H9 1050m – Feb 19
$525k purchase and half to Mumbai Muse. Solid overall time here. Quiet first trial before an eye catching second trial when doing her best work late from off the speed. Through the line she was very solid and looks ready to head to the races. Will get over 1200m+.

Leonessa – Chris Waller (Tommy Berry)
Rosehill H5 900m – Feb 23
$725k Easter Yearling, the dam Miss Leonidas was a good horse. Cruised in her first trial and looked ready to explode, similar second trial when landing off speed and running on. I am convinced there is something under the hood. Percy Sykes $101, take that.

Rachini – Bjorn Baker (Rachel King)
Rosehill H5 900m – Feb 23
Debuted at Caulfield in the Debutant Stakes, $3.80 chance behind Torture. Since then has gone from the Corstens camp to Baker. Back to back eye catching trial wins here in Sydney when running slick time. Have to trust the eye and the clock. Ready for debut and is $19 for a Percy Sykes, bet.

Omolong – Chris Waller (Zac Lloyd)
Rosehill H8 900m – Feb 23
Well bred, $850k colt from the family of Samaready, Exhilarates and Shizino. Same fast heat as Paradoxium and Central Europe, loved his late work and work through the line. Eye catching debut trial. He has been put away and will look to come back for a late season push at a 2YO hopefully.

Paradoxium – Bjorn Baker (Jason Collett)
Rosehill H8 900m – Feb 23
Back with a bang, the Wyong Magic Millions winner looked clear of any issues after a dominant 900m trial on Monday. He ran the fastest overall time and L600m time of the morning and looked impressive in doing so. I suggest we will see him in the Todman next week, the key lead up to the Slipper. $11 for the Slipper, bet.

Gelded into this prep. Solid first trial before a very smart recent trial at Hawkesbury. 1200m so will likely kick off over 1400m. Big watch and ready to hit the races now.

Very, very slick time again. Like this gelding a lot. On speed type who has dominated from the front in both trials. Ready to go to the races now and will be mighty hard to beat first up.

Pick Up The Tab – Bjorn Baker (Regan Bayliss)
Hawkesbury H8 800m – Feb 24
Outstanding return to the trials off a 40 week break. This very progressive 4YO gelding lit up the clock running smart overall time and last 600m time. Loved his manner, look for a second trial before he returns to the races.

Coal Smoke – Terry Croft (Chad Lever)
Hawkesbury H9 800m – Feb 24
Sneaky good debut trial by this 3YO Portland Sky gelding. He sat on the fence behind horses before hitting the line in second gear when all others were strung up. Smart past the post too, looks to have ability. Look for a second trial now.

Satono Glow – O’Shea & Charlton (Zac Lloyd)
Hawkesbury H11 800m – Feb 24
Wow, some trial this. Debut trial for this 2YO filly, she bounced and landed on speed before Zac clicked her up and she exploded into stride with an electric turn of speed. Throttled down to run the fastest overall and L600m time of the morning. She is a proper filly.
