The standout number comes from Randwick, where runners capable of pressing forward from wide barriers have historically produced a remarkable 33% edge over market expectation.
That profile suits runners including Eviction Notice, Free And Fast, Lady Invictus, Satono Jasmine, Horizons, Lugh, Ice Kool, Benevac and Smashing Time. The Brisbane data also points towards on-speed runners such as Racketeer, Captain Maverick, Trafalgar Square, Golden Cross and Give Giggles.

With those ratings lining up alongside his overall profile, he’s capable of giving this a real shake despite carrying topweight.
Race 5 – Horizons
This race shapes as one of the clearest examples of the Barrier vs Run Style data matching what the AI database is producing. Both Horizons and Satono Jasmine receive the coveted 33% map advantage and have been the two best-backed runners in betting. A quinella certainly wouldn’t surprise, but if siding with just one, Horizons gets the nod thanks to his superior last-start rating, natural early speed and the booking of Zach Lloyd.
Race 8 – Electric Impulse
At around $6.50, Electric Impulse appeals as one of the better value plays on the Randwick program. The Henry Dwyer-trained galloper carries a perfect PF Score, recorded the fastest last-start figure in strong overall time and profiles ideally fourth-up. Add Nash Rawiller’s outstanding Randwick record into the equation and the current quote looks generous.
Race 9 – Eye Of The Fire
The roughie that continues to catch the eye is Eye Of The Fire. Already supported from $26 into $21, the five-year-old also benefits from the favourable barrier profile highlighted earlier and has an excellent record over the distance if he can recapture his best form. Hawker Hall is another runner the database continues to rate highly.
Race 10 – Smashing Time
The final race belongs to Smashing Time, who ticks almost every box. The map is ideal, the historical profile is excellent and his outstanding -13.4 last 600-metre figure on a Soft 6 remains one of the strongest closing performances in this field, despite being a while ago now. Everything points towards another bold showing.
Caulfield
Race 1 – Custom
The market has been relentless for Custom, but the Punting Form numbers agree with the move. The Maher-trained gelding brings an explosive last 600 metres from his latest run, benefits from Jabez Johnstone’s 3kg claim and returns under very similar conditions. There doesn’t appear to be much against him. Betting with confidence!
Race 7 – Cosmic Crusader
The Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes centres around Cosmic Crusader, who profiles as the horse to beat. He maps to enjoy a perfect run from barrier one before relying on his proven late speed to fend off the challengers. The form line is the strongest in the race and the AI ratings support his favouritism.
Race 8 – Makdane
Makdane continues to rate shorter than the market on the Punting Form AI. His performance a fortnight ago was full of merit and another economical run just behind the speed should allow Craig Williams every opportunity to capitalise late.
Eagle Farm
Race 4 – Get Ready Lass
The database lights up for Get Ready Lass. She’s the top-rated runner on PF AI, boasts an excellent second-up profile and owns two of the four fastest historical times in the field. Jai Williams’ 2kg claim is another positive that only enhances her appeal.
Morphettville
Race 6 – Cavalry Girl
Cavalry Girl arrives in career-best form and the ratings reflect it. She ranks number one for Early Speed, Race Time Price and Weight Class Price while carrying an outstanding PF Score of 96. On the figures, she’s deservedly the one they all have to beat.
Race 9 – Tobikko
While Extremely Rowdy commands respect, the database sides with Tobikko. His benchmark ratings are superior, the recent form is stronger and he maps to enjoy a race that should allow him to finish over the top of his rivals.

The roughies worth throwing into wider exotics are Hurry Miss (Randwick R2), Tuff Tu Mus (Caulfield R5), Lady Wardell (Eagle Farm R3) and Willybeafactor (Morphettville R7), all of whom rate better than their current market prices.
