In The Lab | Memsie Stakes | Group 1 WFA 1400m
The 2026 Memsie Stakes (1400m) sets up as an ideal race for Treasurethe Moment, who is my top pick to beat Jimmysstar in what could be a tactically run Group 1. There does not appear to be much genuine speed engaged, with Beiwacht likely to take up the running and control the tempo, while Treasurethe Moment should get the perfect box-seat run just behind the leader. Under WFA conditions she’s well weighted with 57kg and Damian Lane sticks. Last year, she was an impressive winner of the Memsie Stakes by 2.5L when rating 111+. Anything above 108.5 puts her right in the finish here and I think she’s great value at $8
