A $25 investment returned almost $29,000 as TAB customers pieced together winners across Flemington, Rosehill and the Sunshine Coast on a bumper Saturday of racing.

The biggest collect came from a punter who turned $25 into $28,927 after successfully landing a four-leg multi at combined odds of $1,157.

The ticket got off to the perfect start when Flemington Race 5 winner Ndola ($5.00) saluted in the Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final. It was followed by Rosehill Race 6 winner Polyglot ($2.90) and Sunshine Coast Race 5 winner Steady Ready ($4.20).

But it all came down to Rosehill Race 7, where roughie Anythink Goes ($19.00) completed the quartet and delivered the massive collect.

Another TAB customer turned $10 into $7,032 by successfully landing a ten-leg multi returning odds of more than 700-1.

The winning ticket included:

  • Sunshine Coast Race 7 – Thebudgiesmugla ($2.70)
  • Rosehill Race 5 – Hello Captain ($1.65)
  • Flemington Race 3 – Duchess Zou ($4.20)
  • Sunshine Coast Race 3 – Tengun Tommy ($2.70)
  • Sunshine Coast Race 6 – Cellarmaster ($4.80)
  • Rosehill Race 6 – Polyglot ($2.90)

Another punter mixed win and place bets to perfection, turning $100 into $9,000 with a seven-leg multi.

The successful ticket featured:

  • Rosehill Race 4 – Big Red Tequila ($1.65)
  • Flemington Race 5 – De Bergerac (Top 3 @ $1.70)
  • Rosehill Race 3 – Omolong ($1.90)
  • Rosehill Race 5 – Hello Captain ($1.65)
  • Flemington Race 1 – Stars Of Dom ($1.95)
  • Flemington Race 3 – Stylish (Top 2 @ $1.70)
  • Sunshine Coast Race 3 – Tengun Tommy ($3.10)

While well-backed runners such as Hello Captain and Big Red Tequila provided the backbone for many successful multis, it was the inclusion of value runners like Ndola, Duchess Zou and, in particular, Anythink Goes at $19 that transformed handy collects into spectacular paydays.
