Betsy’s Queensland guru has cast his eyes over the rest of Australia’s racing and found a few he likes:
Gold Coast Race 5 #1 ABRAHAM $3
The debut run was a pass mark but the second run was much improved. They pushed forward last start and gave a great sight. If they employ similar tactics on this firm track today he will be very hard to get past. Slight drift out to the $3 but has a good jockey and like that price.
Rosehill Race 9 #1 GRINGOTTS $5
Has to lump the weight but is a class runner and gets Nash on top. Loomed to win a better race fresh and fitness gave way. Trial since was good and expect them to get a great run in transit from barrier 1. Group 1 winner last prep and Maher will have him ready to show best here.
Caulfield Race 10 #1 AMEENA $3.70
A mare I have always had a lot of time for. Not a lot of luck in a G2 to kick the prep off. Then went to the G1 at the Valley and finished next to Lady Shenandoah who is an absolute jet. Drop back to this G3 is a big positive and ready to show best 3rd up. Well placed by one of the best stables in the land. VESTAS might be the hardest to beat, liked the trials this time in.
