Turf Talk

  • Wet track conditions are expected with the track already at a Heavy 8 rating
  • The rail pushed out slightly from the previous 2 meetings and will e +4m the entire today.
  • Given the wet conditions, it is likely runners will look to come away from the inside lanes in the straight but expecting the track will play fairly

Race 4

(10) Done Leavy has been well supported in 2 runs this prep and did show improvement across those starts with a 2nd place last start. She can potentially peak 3rd up here today and maps positively from barrier 2, her advantage in this could be the fact that she has seen a heavy track previously and handled it well.

(4) Maynard went out quickly last start and tired late the be caught, he is fitter now 2nd up so with the extra fitness could be set up to hold on for longer and prove tougher to catch.

(7) Street Legend has been given more time since he made his debut, he showed to have found some improvement in a recent Ararat trial win so expecting he can transfer that here

(3) Master Taj has attracted early market support on debut thanks to a recent Caulfield trial win, he can fire fresh

Selections:
(10) Done Leavy
(4) Maynard
(7) Street Legend
(3) Master Taj

Suggested Bet: (10) Done Leavy – Win

Race 7

(8) Siriusly Hot has to find some sharp improvement on his recent performances to be even a place chance in this race but I can give him a chance in these conditions, his career best run came on a heavy  track so he should handle the conditions and with a slight drop in grade he appears to get every chance to find enough improvement to figure

(7) Simply Outrageous is the one to beat and is in super form this prep, she rises in grade from her last start win but should stack up in this level if she handles the track

(5) Il Patringo was an easy winner in maiden grade last start and looks capable of handling the rise in level off the back of that run, can settle handy from barrier 1

(2) Governor King goes well on heavy going so could be the runner that handles the conditions best.

Selections:
(8) Siriusly Hot
(7) Simply Outrageous
(5) Il atringo
(2) Governor King

Suggested Bet: (8) Siriusly Hot – Each Way

Race 8

(12) Where’s My Sock hasn’t missed the top 2 in 4 runs this prep and comes into this off the back of a nice win at Swan Hill. Takes a step up in level but should have no issues in wet conditions and will be suited with a rise in distance, should figure strongly here given his recent form.

(7) Deadly Press has been close to a win in his last few, needs luck at the right time again but gets onto a genuinely wet track where he has had success previously so can improve.

(4) Caprisocrn Star resumes down in grade from where she finished last prep, has won 1st up previously and can handle the wet conditions.

(3) Didn’t Miss Many ran a close 2nd in a stronger race last start but has a tougher set up here today with a wide barrier and heavy track.

Selections:
(12) Where’s My Sock
(7) Deadly Press
(4) Capricorn Star
(3) Didn’t Miss Many

Suggested Bet: (12) Where’s My Sock – Win
