Race Horse Summary
r4 No.2 Delicate Lady Has good form lines and a wet track will suit
r5 No.8 Tarpaulin Unlucky last start, probably should have won. Goes well on the heavy

Turf talk:

  • The track is rated a Heavy 8 currently with the potential of showers through the day, so not expecting any upgrade if those showers do hit.
  • The rail will be +1m the entire, back in from the previous meeting.
  • The track usually plays fairly and with the expected conditions, all runners should get their chance if good enough.

The stats that matter:

  • Matthew Cumani has found strong form in his last 100 starts with 20 wins at 34.8% POT.
  • Fred Kersley has a good association with this track with a healthy POT of +38.1% from his last 100 rides, and he is engaged for 4 rides here today.

Race 4 No.2 Delicate Lady

Delicate Lady has been consistent of late with recent placings in similar grades including a last start second behind the in form Bazaball Rewarded which looks a strong form line. She has performed well on heavy tracks previously and a wide barrier should be no disadvantage in the wet conditions.

Race 5 No.8 Tarpaulin

Tarpaulin had little luck in his last start when looking to travel into the race, blocked for a run and never getting a good passage in the straight which looked to have cost him a chance to win. He showed good improvement that day but just didn’t get the breaks. With a clear run here he should prove hard to beat, especially on a heavy track where he has performed well previously.
