Turf Talk:
- The track will be rated a Good 4 to kick off the meeting. Sunny and clear conditions are forecast so there is the potential for an upgrade.
- The rail will be in the True position the entire.
- Halidon is quite an even track that gives all runners a chance to win from a variety of positions if good enough to do so.
The Stats That Matter:
- Ben Price has started to find good form recently, winning 8 of his last 50 rides at a healthy ROI of +112.2%. He is engaged for 3 rides at this meeting.
Race 6 No.2 Super Lad
SUPER LAD has been flying of late, having won 3 in a row now. His last start was particularly impressive when he hit the line strongly over the 1600m. He is rising to the 1800m for the first time here today, but with how he has been running through the line it looks ideal for him now.
Race 7 No.3 Ice Symphony
ICE SYMPHONY will drop in grade slightly from the race she competed in last weekend. She led up that day and faded quickly, but happy to forgive that one bad run given his form before that was quite strong and he may be better suited over the 1200m again. He needs a touch of luck early but can run well with a sit and this race looks as if it will be run quick so he should find cover easily.
