Speed is drawn alongside one another: (2) Golden Spritz and (3) Rosa Aotearoa out in gates nine and ten.
Really like Rosa Aotearoa here. He has had just the one start for Reece Goodwin where she was terrific up on sped behind Bajaria, with a big gap back to third. That was a much stronger maiden than what he contests today and she has the speed to offset the wide draw. With that fitness building run under his belt, 1200m should be no issue. A gelding who has always shown good promise.
Having a small save on (5) Octane Reign, who looks the best of the closers. Hit the line strongly from a horrible position on debut at Moe and has since jumped-out nicely here at home. Going to get back, but will be strong when others are weakening.
Suggested bet: Backing Rosa Aoteoaroa, saving Octane Reign, and having something on the quinella: 3 and 5.
