Race 3 No.2 Persian Wonder ($20/$5)
Sneaky good debut run without any luck. Now finds James McDonald and can settle a lot closer to the speed. Big watch.

Race 9 No.4 Chakra Boy ($23/$4.60)
Chakra Boy is a dead set swimmer. Hasn’t been as good this prep but a genuine wet track would make the current price most inviting. Expect sharp improvement if we get to heavy.
Will Elford (Flemington)
Race 10 No.6 Eternal Flame ($31/$7)
Eternal Flame settled last in the Bellmaine Stakes before finishing quickly over the concluding furlong. She was better than the bare result, and can win this race.
Matt Welsh (Flemington)
Race 2 No.1 Chasing Aphrodite ($17/$4.60)
Resumes here having moved to the line nicely in a recent Ballarat jump-out. Both first up runs in Australia have over 1800m and been full of merit, the 2000m of Saturday’s contest suits even better. Maps for a nice run and has a leading hoop up in Damian Lane. Big price at $17.
Race 7 No.1 Birdman ($15/$3.50)
Has trialled up exceptionally for this and first-up runs over 1400m and 1600m in recent campaigns have been excellent. Like the booking of Ben Melham. Will need luck from the low draw but has a great chance at big odds.

Mitch Lewis (Morphettville Patks)
Race 7 No.15 Gatsby Crown ($11/$3.50)
Gatsby Crown showed good speed when winning his maiden at Mount Gambier, takes a step up in grade today but gets the right set up from a race map perspective and staying at the short sprint trip suits.
