Race 1
(5) Some Style is a consistent horse for Gollan but still a maiden after 8 runs. Was run down at an odds-on quote last start but the effort was very good and a gap to the 3rd horse. Placed perfectly here and rolls forward. The rest are plain. (10) Kickuphigh raced against better horses last prep but was well beaten. Might come back a better horse and find this easier. (1) Chicago King was a drifter and just ok last start. Fitter now and finds a weak enough race.

Race 2
My initial two on top have both come out. Not sure what to make of (2) Atomic Time. Was odds-on in both runs last prep and they were better races than this. Recent trial he got a long way back and was ok late. Watch the market. (9) Ready For Zion has the race fitness on its side. Not far off a couple of handy ones last start and draws the inside gate. Right in this after scratchings. (10) Sure Start has shown some ability and wasn’t bad fresh. Draws to get the right run and every chance. (12) Guardsman was well beaten last start but it was a good quality race and this is easier.

Race 3
If Some Style wins the earlier race it might talk us into (9) Parisenne Piper. It was good fresh and then no luck at all last start. Wide the trip, made a run at them but had to tire late. Draws well. (11) Kurithea is lightly raced and I’m sure will win races. Good over this track/trip last start and Moor takes the ride. (10) Perhaps Perhaps wasn’t far off in the same race last start and gets blinkers back on here. Market might be the best guide on the rest of them.

Race 4
One of the best bets has come out of this making it a bit confusing. (6) Valimi is a weak animal late but does map up on speed and in a good stable. This is easier than the rest of the prep so far. (7) Warna comes out of easier races but was a winner fresh and does have upside. (2) Prado, (3) Ready Azz Eva and (4) Rashford all have ability but poor win strike rates. Maybe a slight lean to Rashford out of those but not keen on the race.

Race 5
This is a nightmare. (10) Anarita is consistent without being great. Trial at Doomben was good, first up last prep was good and draws inside. (9) Detain got a perfect ride and got the job done at this track. Mallyon stays on and probably gets the box seat again. (11) She’s Fashionable beat a plain bunch here last start but I loved the style of win. Strong through the line, in a good stable and can win. (12) I’m Zac has had the best L200m splits his last couple but worried he gets too far back. Hoysted back in form and (7) Araletta far from the worst.

Race 6
Another race and another two on top scratched. (2) Chamierro was ok fresh, better 2nd up and set to peak here. Just where it gets to from the gate is a query. (3) Breezin has been attacking the line late recently. Likely to land midfield and get every chance. (9) Techna was plain to finish last prep but might have had enough. Just feel she has some ability and could surprise a few with luck in running. (11) Kayleen’s Profit will want further but just have a feeling that it could sprint well fresh and surprise a few at odds.

Race 7
(5) Seneschal was good two preps ago but not so good last time in. First up run was a blanket finish and hard to take much from. Gear changes and should be fitter now. (10) Freeland is never far away and has been good late in races lately. Tactically versatile and might be well placed here. (1) Russian Sub would win on old form but hard to trust these days. (14) Ninjitzou has won 2 of its last 3, with Heathcote and some hope here around the e/w mark.
