A proven polytrack specialist headlines the meeting, while trial watch favourite Inaheartbeat and value runner Bertie Wooster look poised to make their presence felt at Cambridge.

Race 1: (MDN 2YO&UP 1300m)

Tempo: Average

From the trials, debutant (5) INAHEARTBEAT has been good in two trials in his first preparation, made ground from the rear at Taupo in a slow heat and jumped better at his 2nd trial and was able to win running away over 1150m. He is destined for a staying trip and will give a start but expect him strong late at the end of 1300m.

Suggested Bet: INAHEARTBEAT

Race 2: (R75 1300m)

Tempo: Above Average

Good, competitive field assembled. Confident two-bet play with the majority of speed drawn wide, expect this to be truly run. (3) ANTON was impressive first-up with strong market support late, he rode the tail of a fast tempo and swept on by over 970m, now ideally suited up to 1300m and maps well to be winning again. (2) ROCMONT has enjoyed success on the Riccarton synthetic track when ridden aggressive from the gates, having drawn low he could take up the running and take catching, best distance is 1600m, if wound up the 1300m fresh poses no problem.

Suggested Bets: ANTON & ROCMONT

Race 4: (R74 970m)

Tempo: Above Average

The (6) ANGELS BREW was ultra-impressive winning first-up in fast time this course & distance. Taking a sit behind the speed she proved too good over the concluding stages. That win measures up in this higher grade and does have the option in this race to use her excellent gate speed to lead or sit OSL in this field and take beating once more.

Suggested Bet: ANGELS BREW (Best)

Race 6: (R60 2000m)

Tempo: Average

The speed is moderate. (4) WRY SMILE saves his best efforts for the Cambridge poly and was given a very quiet ride in a stronger race first-up, he was home in good fractions behind the impressive winner and only needs more intent using the 4kg claim to advantage here to be fighting out the finish. Genuine winning chance. (5) LA QUERIDA can improve sharply third-up with a significant class drop into this event, ran well on last start with the race shape against and is over the odds as a Top 3 chance.

Suggested Bet: WRY SMILE & LA QUERIDA

Race 9: (R73 1550m)

Tempo: Above Average

A fast tempo is expected, (2) WHAT A YARN, (6) VIVACE, (8) MISTER MEANER will all go forward. (5) DOMAIN ACE blinkers on, inside gate, may also contribute. Really liked the finishing effort of (7) BERTIE WOOSTER first-up for a hot stable in Chris Wood. It his was his 1st attempt on the polytrack and his action looked to improve on this surface running well against the race shape after a mid-race slacken made it a sprint home for the on-pacers. With the expected fast tempo he should relish the speed up front and charging late. Best at odds on the card. Note: no rider engaged yet.

Suggested Bet: BERTIE WOOSTER (Value)
