A very tricky Midway here.

(14) Embrace The Wind finished strongly from the back last start, looks ready for this trip and should settle much closer from a better barrier.

(9) Koios is racing in good form, gets a nice drop in weight and benefits from having Zac Lloyd in the saddle.

(13) Myriad has been good at his last two, stable is going well and can contend here.

(11) Danish Prince has won first up previously and is in the mix.

(7) Dawn On Me should find the lead with ease from barrier 1. She gets in well at the weights with Grima claiming 2kg and looks a very progressive type. This is her toughest test yet, but she will give them something to chase.

(12) Kakoda deserves her spot in the city after racing well and rising through the grades quickly. If she handles the quick back-up, she can win again.

(1) Satin Stiletto finds a easier race here and can improve.

(16) Dividends Paid has drawn well and is a proven first-up performer.

Race 4

This looks the perfect setup for (1) Ballpark. He loves to lead, has Nash in the saddle and draws barrier 2. He should have no excuses. He has won his past two starts after controlling them from the front and can do it again.

(8) Attractiveness should be ready to peak now third-up and will be given every chance late.

(9) Cheval De Bois strips fitter third-up and looks set to get a soft run from barrier 4. He is right in the mix if he can improve again.

(10) Viva Mauricio was a strong first-up winner, can only improve further off that effort.

(14) Le Troisir looks to have been set for this race since his last run over 2400m, when he was caught wide and had no luck. He has been hitting the line strongly at his past couple of starts and looks ready for another crack at this trip. Zac in the saddle is a positive.

(7) Golden Century should be peaking now fourth-up. He has been looking for this trip and gets it here. He can improve with the senior jockey replacing the apprentice.

Matt Dunn and Nash team up again with (3) Sword Of Legacy. They got the cash last start after he hit the line strongly at short odds. That form looks good enough for this and he should get every chance from barrier 4.

(5) Jellicious will find this easier than last start. She is hard fit and looks a likely improver.

(10) West Of Dalby is hard fit and can be thereabouts.

(4) Couples Retreat looks ideally drawn from the inside gate, can be running on late.

Distance specialist (5) Cigar Flick can mix his form, but his best is good enough to challenge. If he gets clear running late, he will be storming home.

(2) Way To The Stars is a Listed winner and Group-placed performer resuming after 10 weeks. He has a strong turn of speed and deserves to be in the mix.

(4) Roselyn’s Star normally races well fresh and is another who can figure.

(3) Aviatress has drawn well and deserves to be considered here.

A very open race with plenty of chances. You can throw a blanket over a handful of them.

He is hard to catch, but (9) Gatsby’s goes on top for me. He fought on well first-up and will only be fitter for that effort. His best win came second-up last preparation and he is capable of doing it again.

(7) Elouyou has shown plenty of ability and is already a winner at this track.

(3) Dark Glitter can contend if she gets clear running late.

(10) Midnight Opal has been mixing his form, at his best he is in the mix.

(8) Midnight Dynamite was far too good when putting his rivals away in the Listed Civic Stakes two starts back over 1400m at Randwick. He had little luck last start after being caught wide throughout in the Winter Stakes here, but still stuck on well for third. He can settle a little closer from the draw and looks one of the main chances.

(2) General Salute looks to be peaking at the right time and can keep improving. He is drawn a little awkwardly, but the tempo should suit.

(9) Cool Jakey has had little luck with the draw at his past three starts and has still been racing well. He gets his chance here.

(3) War Eternal is racing well and is always in the mix.

(12) Columbia Blue is a talented gelding who has put together a strong record. He hit the line well first-up after drawing wide, going down narrowly over 1100m here. He is undefeated second-up and can keep that record intact.

(13) Snack Bar should be ready to peak now fourth-up after looming as the winner before tiring late for third over 1200m here last start. He is drawn to get a much better run and the strong tempo should suit.

(16) Silencio Porfavor put in a much improved effort last start to win, can contend here.

(9) Shropshire Lad will be running on strong late.
