Despite the slow time recorded, the filly showed a great action kept on the bridle in her recent trial and looks a talent going forward. In a moderate field of juveniles, she can balance up and let down, expect her strong late.

(5) COSMIC DREAM was heavily-bet at this course last start and disappointed, two things worked against her, the heavy track and the 1400m, now back to 1200m and on top of the ground, she finds another suitable race and is hardest to beat. Roughie (3) TOP DOLLAR trialled well enough to run into the money first-up before getting out in trip.

Backmarker (9) BOXMOSS possesses a big finish when races are run to suit his style and has been the subject of strong market support in recent runs with the flying Chris Wood stable. He swooped home off a strong tempo at Te Rapa beating a similar field and expecting that form to carry through. A ‘heart-in-mouth’ bet as he can step slow and give them a start, key winning chance if they run along at speed.

Perfect race for (7) ARWEN to continue her progression, home in good splits in a deep race at Ellerslie then very impressive under aggressive riding from George Rooke at Te Rapa, she now looks set frank her early promise and is clear top pick and represents value in the current market. Best of the day. Respecting (9) CURVED GLORY is a scopey filly on the rise and bred to get better with distance, she will give a sight and charge home, place chance.
