Suggested bets and exotic plays available in the Betsy Tipping Hub.

Race 1

(6) Morryl Moral looks a nice jumper in the making. He performed well in a strong flat race last start when leading and fighting on gamely for third. His recent trials have been encouraging and he should take natural improvement into this. Steve Pateman opting to jump aboard is often a positive sign. He appears to hold a slight fitness edge, should roll forward and stay out of trouble.

(8) Shamarkand should improve in fitness from his latest run. He was beaten a long way into second on debut before choking down at his most recent jumps start. If he bounces back, he can figure in the placings.

(7) Palentino Heights is fourth-up this campaign and has done plenty of trialling. He can improve after a freshen-up and the latest run on a bottomless track can be forgiven.

Selections
(6) Morryl Moral
(8) Shamarkand
(7) Palentino Heights

Race 2

(1) Andy Win made a mistake at the last at Sandown but was picking himself up and coming again late. He returns to the scene of his Warrnambool Carnival victory and has the class to carry the weight. The horse to beat.

(3) Untethered has been racing consistently over the jumps, beaten by some smart performers in recent outings. While he was a little disappointing on the flat at Swan Hill, a return to jumping can see him bounce back.

(2) The Vocalist has been racing well enough and trialled nicely. He was beaten by Andy Win at Warrnambool before producing a strong second placing behind Enchanted Elle at Casterton. Back to the flatter Warrnambool circuit, improvement would not surprise.

(4) Ardakan has plenty of flat ability but has failed to jump cleanly in all three starts over the obstacles. Recent trial improvement was encouraging, but he still needs to prove it on race day.

Selections
(1) Andy Win
(3) Untethered
(2) The Vocalist
(4) Ardakan

Race 3

(7) Saint Eustace brings the strongest exposed form into the race. His last two runs have produced placings behind the talented Golden Garden and he handles the Warrnambool chase circuit well. Fourth-up over the jumps and with Steve Pateman aboard, he gets every chance.

(5) Mr Lincoln had been building towards a breakthrough before struggling in testing conditions during the Warrnambool Carnival. He bounced back with a solid effort in the Australian Steeplechase at Sandown and can be prominent provided conditions don’t deteriorate too much.

(10) Raise The Note showed enough first-up over the jumps when narrowly beaten by Instigator at Terang. He failed to finish the Grand Annual, but the trip may have stretched him. Freshened since, he has the ability to be highly competitive.

(4) Lucky Chance has caught the eye in recent chase trials. He has been okay in two hurdle runs this campaign and, with Eric Musgrove preparing him, should be fit and ready for his maiden chase assignment.

Selections
(7) Saint Eustace
(5) Mr Lincoln
(10) Raise The Note
(4) Lucky Chance

Race 4

(4) Golden Garden has been expertly placed throughout the campaign and brings the strongest form into this race. He led throughout to win the BM120 Steeplechase during the Warrnambool Carnival before backing it up with another excellent victory in the Two Rivers at Casterton. Freshened since and back on his home track, he looks the one to beat.

(6) Bazini has endured mixed fortunes this preparation, including two falls before an okay effort when choking down at Sandown. The addition of a tongue tie could spark improvement.

(1) The Mighty Spar returns after failing to complete the course at Casterton. He may have backed up too quickly after Warrnambool and can improve with more time between runs.

(3) Fabalot continues to race honestly and never shirks the task, but wins have been difficult to find. He should again be competitive without looking the likely winner.

Selections
(4) Golden Garden
(6) Bazini
(1) The Mighty Spar
(3) Fabalot
