Race by race overview
Race 4
(4) Lakehurst rated highly when he blew rivals away last start to be a winner here over this same track/distance set up. He goes up slightly in weight but outside of that remains in a similar set up so should again prove hard to beat. (2) Gwan So makes his debut for a new stable, he hasn’t won often in his career but has form in stronger races and won a trial at this track recently. (1) Rideau drops in grade for this today, it is his fist look at this track but with the inside barrier and a claiming apprentice in the saddle, he can potentially look to push forwards and race prominently. (7) Aggressive Bee has mixed her form in recent runs at this track but gets back up to the 1200m trip which may suit better and bring on potential improvement.
Selections:
(4) Lakehurst
(2) Gwan So
(1) Rideau
(7) Aggressive Bee
Suggested Bet: (4) Lakehurst- Win
Race 6
(2) Ti Tree Royal has showed to appreciate the dirt conditions here at Pt Augusta having won both of his starts at the track and looks for 3 in a row here today. He has produced 2 career peak performances here and remains in a similar set up, the risk may be the wide barrier but we won from a similar position last time and has the speed to cross. (6) Limbering is having her first look at the track but maps as your potential leader which should suit. (4) Peerless Lad is a last start winner at this track, he obviously handles the conditions well but is now back to the 1396m trip having won over the mile last time which feels like the only small query. (1) Never Surrender got a long way back last start when having his first look at this track but couldn’t get into the race late, he looks a chance to improve rising in distance.
Selections:
(2) Ti Tree Royal
(6) Limbering
(4) Peerless Lad
(1) Never Surrender
Suggested Bet: (2) Ti Tree Royal – Win
