Race 7 (1200m Class 2)- 10 Taking Omaha & 3 Autumn Frost
Both of these runners were drawn out wide and put a solid speed into this race from the front. They went 7L above class average to the 600m mark running some of the fastest early sectionals of the day. The merit in their runs comes from the fact that off this quick tempo they were able to hold onto 3rd and 4th placings in the race and particularly Autumn Frost who was caught out wider in the run. Following these runners to their next race and will be looking for a much softer race map where they can control the tempo at a slower pace.
Race 9 (1050m BM64) 7 Mic Drop
Mic Drop was clearly impressive as the winner of this race. She was on debut for a new stable here and kicked off this prep strongly. She got the right run up the inside and peeled off the fastest L600m & L400m sectionals of the race. She won this race easily and was a 2nd up winner in her last prep so feel she can be worth following to whereever she goes next rising through the grades. Also taking Beauty Bound out of the race who has been hard to follow for punters, but showed a good turn of foot late here after finding some trouble at the top of the straight. Once she got a run she ran the 4th fastest L200m of the meeting, a win looks close.

Jump Out 5 – Sneaky Peaky
Only a small amount of trials or jumpouts to report this week due to a stacked race program. Sneaky Peaky from the Stephen Theodore stable caught the eye winning Jump Out 5 quite easily, jumping to the front and holding a steady position through the run to not really be troubled. He is yet to make his debut and wouldn’t say this trial was full of quality, but he looks capable of a strong performance in Maiden grade when we see him turned out at the races.
