He has looked green at times but showed improvement last start, may be better suited in these conditions and gets a favourable map. (3) No Bail resumes after contesting strong maidens last preparation and won a lead-up trial for this first-up assignment. (10) Zarubina gets in light after the claim and jumps from a low barrier, allowing her to settle in a positive position. (9) Glitzy Girl makes her debut and showed improvement in her latest trial. She maps softly with a light weight and may be the best of the newcomers.

(3) Shocap has been moderate at her past few starts but gets a significant drop in grade from the races she has contested recently. The smaller field should allow her to secure an ideal run. (7) Maldivica won two starts ago before a midfield finish last time and also drops in class for this assignment. (9) Miss Sghirripa reaches peak fitness third-up and returns to her home track. Improving conditions should suit after her latest run. In a race lacking obvious speed, (8) Chilli Crab may find the lead and could prove difficult to run down if allowed a soft tempo.

(5) Morlaix has been hard to catch recently after running second at her past two starts. She doesn’t win often but has a strong record at both the track and distance and should be competitive again. (14) Chartin ran on strongly for second when resuming at Balaklava and should appreciate the rise in trip. (7) Loca Bella had been racing consistently before a midfield finish at Gawler. Potentially improving conditions could see her return to her better form. (2) Chance Taken resumes after ending his previous campaign in the Adelaide Cup. This is a much easier assignment and while he may improve over longer trips later in the preparation, he has won first-up and at this distance before.
