Race 1
(1) Big Brute was well supported last week but put in a bad performance when perhaps not appreciating the track conditions, his form prior to that was much better and with a soft race map here, he can certainly bounce back to that level.
(2) Vaniteux has impressed recently when winning 2 of her last 3 starts, she takes a step up in level for this today but comes in well at the weights and should prove capable.
(3) Ekanite makes his debut for a new stable, his Victorian form rates well for this level but his better form may be yet to come over more ground.
(5) Rikki Rikkardo looks likely to have improvement to give, fitter 2nd up here today.
Selections:
(1) Big Brute
(2) Vaniteux
(3) Ekanite
(5) Rikki Rikkardo
Suggested Bet: No Bet
Race 2
Expecting that (6) Right Of Veto is potentially at peak fitness for this, her form last prep was in higher grades but she has had little luck in races so far this prep. She maps well from the inside barrier today and this sets up much better.
Earlier in this prep (3) Gruelling won 2 in a row and was in good form before taking a step up in level, he comes back down in grade today which should suit.
(5) Hysterical Lady hit the line strongly last time out in a stronger race, she now gets to a big, open track and should again be strong late.
(8) Magic Princess has the scope to find improvement dropping slightly in grade and back down to a distance she is suited at, expecting a positive run.
Selections:
(6) Right Of Veto
(3) Gruelling
(5) Hysterical Lady
(8) Magic Princess
Suggested Bet: No Bet
Race 3
(1) Simply Sid has had plenty of chances for a win so far into his career, but has contested Maidens that have produced strong form. Murray Bridge is a track that should suit him based on his recent efforts late.
(9) Carpe Astra has produced some good performances in her last 2 runs including a good effort at Ballarat last time, back to her home track could bring her on.
(14) Zou Doll was well supported last start but tired in the run, looking for him to have improvement fitter 2nd up now.
(12) Juxtapose resumes for her 2nd campaign, she contested stronger races in her debut and may find this easier but will need some luck from a wide barrier.
Selections:
(1) Simply Sid
(9) Carpe Astra
(14) Zou Doll
(12) Juxtapose
Suggested Bet: No Bet
Race 4
(11) You’resogolden was a winner 2 starts back before running a close 5th in a stronger race, she drops in grade and maps to be in a positive position in run.
(6) Global Turn didn’t have much go his way in her last start, getting to the bigger track today could give him a better chance to be running on.
Hard to look past the winning form of (1) Exalted Kate who now looks to step up again in level. She is fresh and is in winning form, can surprise at decent odds.
(5) I Am Piki should be suited up in distance from her previous start and down slightly in grade, has improvement to give.
Selections:
(11) You’resogolden
(6) Global Turn
(1) Exalted Kate
(5) I Am Piki
Suggested Bet: No Bet
Race 5
The 2YO Magic Millions feature has half the field making their debut in this race and leaning the way of debutant (4) Lalor who has impressed at the trials recently and looks ready for a big 1st up performance, his recent trials here at his home track have shown good enough talent to stack up in this.
(6) Churchill Rose made her debut in a stronger early season 2YO race at Morphettville, she was 2nd there before heading for a spell. The form out of that race stacks up well in this race.
(1) Rich On Bubbles is the only runner in this field who has a race win to their name having won at Pakenham recently. The Hayes team have had a good recent record with their 2YO runners so expecting he can stack up here.
(10) Hellfire Jess finished down field on debut in a Group 3 race, she has been given more time since that run and resumes here down in grade which will suit.
Selections:
(4) Lalor
(6) Churchill Rose
(1) Rich On Bubbles
(10) Hellfire Jess
Suggested Bet: No Bet
Race 6
(1) Cinque Torri is sharply down in grade here today having run well at odds in Listed grade last time out, she is back to BenchMark grade and gets to peak fitness 3rd up where he has had good success previously (6:2-2-0). He also looks likely to get a soft run on speed and can be in this race for a long way.
(8) Florey has been consistent this prep including a close 2nd last time, he was a winner over this track/distance 2 starts ago so sets up well again in similar conditions.
(3) Super Lad resumed a winner at Morphettville and now is fitter 2nd up and rising to a distance he has a strong record at (3:2-0-0).
(6) Star Sirius showed improvement last start when hitting the line strongly, up to the 1400m looks ideal for him based off that performance.
Selections:
(1) Cinque Torri
(8) Florey
(3) Super Lad
(6) Star Sirius
Suggested Bet: 1 Cinque Torri (EW)
Race 7
(2) Hooked On Wealth hit the line strongly last time at Morphettville when coming from a long way back in the field. He is suited rising in distance fitter now and on the bigger track, if he is hitting the line strongly again, he could prove hard to hold out.
(1) Gold Spirit should be better suited in this today dropping slightly in grade, he had to do some work from a wide position last time and maps for a better run in this today so should be an improver.
(10) Copper Bullet looked in need of the run when fading late in his 1st up run, expecting he will have improvement to give fitter 2nd up here today.
Speed comes out of the race after scratchings which could see (7) Real Valentia find the run of the race out in front and give cheek at value.
Selections:
(2) Hooked On Wealth
(1) Gold Spirit
(10) Copper Bullet
(7) Real Valentia
Suggested Bet: 2 Hooked On Wealth (Win)
Race 8
Victorian visitor (3) Shadhavar brings the strongest form lines into this race through some good runs to finish last prep, she hasn’t previously had much success when 1st up in a preparation but looked good when winning a recent trial at Ballarat and she maps well here. Deserves to be the race favourite.
(1) Dancing Storm ran a close 2nd behind the in-form Mic Drop in his last start, that’s a form line that reads well and he is suited here at Murray Bridge. Expect he will be hitting the line well late.
(2) Cash didn’t have a lot of luck when contesting some stronger races up at the Gold Coast. He returns to his home track which could have him be an improver today, clearly talented he wouldn’t shock at odds here if he can recapture his better form.
(5) Redders kicked off this campaign as a winner at Geelong before tackling a stronger race, he may find this easier and tackles it 3rd up into the prep where he has won previously.
Selections:
(3) Shadhavar
(1) Dancing Storm
(2) Cash
(5) Redders
Suggested Bet: 3 Shadhavar (Win)
Race 9
(4) Declared kicked off his campaign with a strong win at this track before heading to Caulfield to tackle a stronger race, he was 5th in that race but the run had merit, now freshened he returns to a track he has a strong record at (6:2-1-2) so can bounce back to winning form.
(10) Angel Torque has placed in her last 3 runs but is returning to a track/distance set up she is undefeated at (2:2-0-0) so expecting she could be better suited here.
(7) Dobbinair resumes today and is both a winner 1st up and undefeated at this track, needs luck from a wide barrier but can figure here at odds if he gets it.
(8) High On Sugar has won 2 of his last 3 starts and wouldn’t shock here at a big price given recent form, look for him to be hitting the line late.
Selections:
(4) Declared
(10) Angel Torque
(7) Dobbinair
(8) High On Sugar
Suggested Bet: 4 Declared (Win)
Race 10
(5) Longer Route never really got going late at Morphettville last week and may be better suited dropping back to the 1800m here today. He sets up for a more favourable run from barrier 3 today.
(4) Imposing Suspect is also on the quick back-up here this week and returns to his home track where he has had good success previously (5:2-0-0), needs to overcome a wide barrier but is at peak fitness.
(7) Thermodynamic has run 2nd in his previous 2 runs and could be close to a breakthrough win, he is a winner at this distance and maps for a soft run.
(13) Joviale is rising in grade here today but looks well suited taking the step up in distance also, he gets a lighter weight than some key rivals in this so expecting a fast finish.
Selections:
(5) Longer Route
(4) Imposing Suspect
(7) Thermodynamic
(13) Joviale
Suggested Bet: No Bet
