Bet Legends’ Shaun Beirne is back looking for runners to oppose at Randwick Kensington on Wednesday, and he has three favourites firmly in his sights.
Love Story looks under the odds in the opener, while Shaun is keen to side with True To Form over Octa De Lago later on the card. Scenic Point also looks vulnerable despite having the right map.
Race 1 – Love Story
Love Story heads to the Kensington track after finishing second on debut, but Shaun isn’t convinced she has done enough to justify her position in the market.
“Only theone1 start so hard to put a figure on, but the market seems too short. When realistically had every chance last start.
“Klocke interests me more, blinkers first time and similar if not better ratings.”
Take Us On: Love Story
Race 6 – Octa De Lago
A small field doesn’t necessarily mean an easy run for Octa De Lago. Shaun believes his lack of early speed could leave him in an awkward position, while his ratings point towards another runner being the better betting proposition.
“Small field but maps poorly. Has a lack of early speed that suggests will be back buried on the inside.
“Ratings a long way below market expectation here and True To Form should be much shorter off my ratings.
“Cuddling True To Form, pushing Octa.”
Take Us On: Octa De Lago
Special: Octa De Lago to run 1st or 2nd at $3.50
Race 7 – Scenic Point
Scenic Point has the advantage of a potentially favourable map, but Shaun wants to see significant improvement at her second start for the Pride stable before entertaining her at the price.
“2nd start for the Pride stable. Could improve sharply but will need to.
“The big positive is the map: should settle outside the leader.
“Let’s see how the track is playing but likely we will take this right on late.”
Take Us On: Scenic Point
