Race 1: (MDN 2Y0&UP 1200m)
Tempo: Average
First starter (6) BONANZA is a well-related Savabeel filly and full-sister to the two-time winner Casino. Her trials suggest she has similar ability and is placed to win on debut striking a moderate maiden field.
Suggested Bet: BONANZA
Race 5: (MDN 2YO&UP F&M 1200m)
Tempo: Above Average
Stable change for (9) PINKY PIE to the Suzy Gordon stable, won a trial at Waverley on turf and now switches to the polytrack where she’s raced well previously, at Cambridge. Gate speed to utilise the low draw, if she gets control then every chance to run out the 1400m. Genuine each-way claims. Astute punting stable, watch betting.
Suggested Bet: PINKY PIE
Race 6: (R65 1200m)
Tempo: Above Average
The speed should be on early and sets up for a horse camped just off it in and strong late in (5) HOT COCO resuming for the new stable, won’t need to have improved to be highly competitive. (4) HOLDEM has brilliant gate speed, improved her performances last campaign with the addition of a shadow roll and can cross and lead, last 50m will test. (7) THAT’S CHARMING is not a prolific winner but racing in great heart and should get the speed to suit and charging late. (1) MR FORTRUS can join the speed from a wide alley and (2) INTO THE WIND will be forward early, a dominant maiden winner, margin flattered the clock but does have upside.
Suggested Bets: HOT COCO & THAT’S CHARMING
Race 7: (R60 2200m)
Tempo: Average
This is an excellent race for (5) NEW BEGINNING, noted drifter in the market and raced out of her pattern here fresh before finding the line strongly. Had the opportunity to lead last start and handed up and was consequently held up at a key stage. Drawn the rail, up in distance, a positive ride can own this race early with just a moderate speed expected.
Suggested Bet: NEW BEGINNING
