The Wyong two-year-old Magic Millions Classic can throw up a leading chance in the big race come January. The latest edition was run yesterday and the question is whether we found anything that can land in the money this year.
I am not a massive times man compared to some analysts but they did run quicker than the Midway BM64 in the race after.
PARADOXIUM was the winner and is now favourite for the two-year-old Classic. It might be a little overreaction to be honest but it is hard to punch holes in the performance. What I do love about this horse is that it had a run in the Breeders Plate in early October, was given time, and is now back for a second preparation and much better for that initial grounding. It is always a good recipe instead of trying to get it done in your debut prep. The horse also has good tactical speed and has shown a strong turn of foot in trials and in this race. The Coast has played a little to the front recently and that can be a big advantage if it is a hot and dry Millions day.
PARADOXIUM wins the Magic Millions Wyong Classic!

The runner up MYSTICAL was beaten 2.84 lengths but is a beauty as well. She settled last here and I loved the way she finished off. She did a similar thing over 900m on debut in the Max Lees at Newcastle. She is one who will love a hot tempo and getting to 1200m. The only issue is she will need a good gate to try and hold some position in running. A wide barrier means she may spot them an impossible start.
The three-and-four-year old Millions race was run at Wyong on Wednesday as well. I was not as taken with that race with three of them in a blanket finish. I just think there might be others out there that will catch the eye more than this lot did.
