Silvasista was strong through the line winning the VRC St Ledger last week over 2800m in quick time. Fillies have a great record in the Derby and so do the McEvoy’s! I’m happy to be with her. One horse that is also proven at the distance is Strictly Business – she was checked in the Oaks last Saturday at the 300 and was up near the top two past the post. I know she’s not going as well this campaign however is worth a play at odds.
Suggested Bet: Silvasista & Strictly Business
WATCH: Strictly Business win the VRC Oaks
In The Lab | Queensland Guineas | Group 2 3yo SW 1600m
The Queensland Guineas appears to be a race with two hopes and I’m siding with the Sydney form of Snitzel Dancer. She’s rising through the ranks quickly and should see out the mile nicely. Last start she produced a strong rating of 99 which above the JTD here of 96. Represents good value around $6
Suggested Bet: Snitzel Dancer
In The Lab | Victory Stakes | Group 2 SW 1200m
Seems like a good betting race here and I’m happy to be taking Private Harry on. He didn’t come up last prep and I’m not convinced he’s going well enough now either. Lady Of Camelot comes in off a couple of solid trials and maps perfectly behind the leaders. She will look the winner at some stage. Uncommon James resumed of a long break with a close second and boasts some strong stats at both the track/distance and second up. He only has to improve slightly here to be in the finish
Suggested Bet: Lady Of Camelot & Uncommon James
WATCH: Uncommon James run second last start
