Take Us On: Shaun Beirne says Bluepinot is under the odds at Doomben on Wednesday

Bet Legends analyst Shaun Beirne believes the market has overreacted to Bluepinot's recent form and is keen to back a rival in Wednesday's Doomben feature.

Bet Legends’ Shaun Beirne is prepared to take on one of the early market fancies at Doomben on Wednesday, believing punters are getting well over the odds about a key rival.

As always, Beirne is putting his money where his mouth is, offering punters a generous special about his lay.

Doomben Race 4

Beirne is happy to oppose Bluepinot, which he believes has been installed far too short in early betting.

While acknowledging Bluepinot has produced some ratings in the past that would make it competitive in this grade, Beirne’s more recent assessments have the horse comfortably behind one of its major rivals.

“Bluepinot is way too short in the early markets,” Beirne said.

“On my recent ratings, it’s around two lengths inferior to Saint Aldwyn, albeit it does have some older ratings that are a touch stronger.

“There’s been sharp action for Saint Aldwyn and I’ve got to run with it.”

The Play

Beirne is siding with Saint Aldwyn and believes the current market is still underestimating its chances, despite the market support.
