Bet Legends founder Shaun Beirne is back with another edition of Take Us On, and this week he’s going straight after Betsy’s own NSW analyst, taking aim at Dean Watling’s best bet of the day at Warwick Farm.
Using his ratings and form analysis, Beirne believes the market has the Warwick Farm feature wrong, and has also identified a fancied runner at Grafton he’s happy to oppose.
Warwick Farm Race 6 – Jarrito
Jarrito comes into the race as Dean Watling’s best bet of the day, but Beirne sees it as a genuine match race, and believes the market has the wrong one on top.
“For me this boils down to a match race between Jarrito and Capture Me,” Beirne said.
“Capture Me is fresh off 42 days, but he’s had a really strong trial since being gelded prior to this prep, and I think that gelding operation has sharpened him up significantly.”
Beirne believes the value is clearly with the second favourite.
“Capture Me is much the better value in this race. I’m happy to take on Jarrito at the prices on offer.”

Grafton Race 5 – Vixenette
Vixenette is the other runner Beirne is keen to oppose on Wednesday.
“She’s had three starts for Matt Dunn and produced a big rating two runs back on a bog track, but she regressed heavily last start at Ipswich,” he said.
Beirne says punters relying on her earlier form are taking a leap of faith.
“She’s got the old ratings there that suggest she can win this, but leaning on that form is a big stretch. I’d rather take her on.”
