Friday night is for building bankrolls, and Dean Watling and Mitch Lewis have the blueprint. Two elite judges, one mission: send punters into Saturday loaded.
The duo will combine their thoughts each week to produce a bet365 multi, which Betsy readers will get enhanced odds about.
Below is the multi and the lads’ best bets for both meetings.

Mitch Lewis at Pakenham: Race 3 No.2 Charmed Run
(2) Charmed Run hit the line impressively in her first-up run at Warrnambool and remains in a similar level here second-up. She has run into the placings in all of her previous second-up runs, so can be an improver here. She looks likely to settle back in the run but with an expected hot tempo up front, she should be swooping late.
Dean Watling at Canterbury: Race 6 No.3 Assailant
With the complete lack of speed up front here over the 1900m, I’m keen to side with the Waterhouse & Bott-trained (3) Assailant. Loved the improvement between trials and love the booking of Hyeronimus first up. Hard to beat.
Mitch Lewis at Pakenham: Race 8 No.1 Paradise City
(1) Paradise City drops in grade here third-up today. She showed good improvement last time at Flemington and remains at the 1400m trip where she has previously had a strong record (6:2-2-0). She rates highly in this grade and maps well jumping from barrier 2, so this race sets up well for her to get back to winning form.
