Race 3 – 6:04PM BetaVet Maiden Plate (1300 METRES)
Good run into the first turn. Not a lot of speed here which should see #4 IT’S GNARLY able to cross from the wide draw and race on speed. This bloke has impressed in several jump-outs, especially those where he has been on speed. He was ridden quieter in his recent hit-out but expect they are aggressive on debut at 1300m. Has been scratched from a few wide draws looking for the right race. This looks a very winnable race with Jamie Mott making the trip down from Flemington during the day to take the ride.
#3 DAZZLING SECRET looks the main danger. He was home the best last 400m split of the meeting over 1000m here last start and he looks ideally suited to 1300m. Both runs this time in have been excellent and like Celine Gaudray riding. Just needs to settle a touch handier/have even luck off the inside alley.
#5 MOUNT SABYINYO will appreciate the extra 100m and not running into Layla here, but is short enough.

Bigger bet on #4 IT’S GNARLY but also having something on #3 DAZZLING SECRET to send him around a winner. If spending a pineapple, having $35 on IT’S GNARLY, $15 on DAZZLING SECRET.
